I’m supporting Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation.
At the age of 15, I underwent four brain surgeries at Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) over the course of 10 months. During my time at PMH, a nurse and a PCA decided to shave off their hair in order to raise funds for the children they were caring for. I vowed that day, that when I had the chance, I would do the same.
In March 2015, I hosted my inaugural head shave and the children in care a PMH at the time, helped by cutting off some of my hair. :)
I was able to raise just under $3,500 for PMH, and my hair was donated to Wigs for Kids.
My hair is now long enough to donate to Wigs for Kids again, so I will be shaving it all off, with the help of my students from Hillside Christian College. I am hoping to raise at least $5000, with all proceeds going to help the children at Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).
