Everest Challenge

We're trekking to Everest Base Camp for the little heroes fighting much bigger battles.

Hi, we're Mark and Nic!

In February/March 2027, we're swapping the comforts of home for hiking boots, freezing temperatures, thin mountain air and one of the most extraordinary adventures of our lives — trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, standing at 5,364 metres above sea level!

But this adventure is about so much more than reaching Base Camp.

We're climbing towards something far more important — making a difference in the lives of sick children and their families. ❤️

Every day, children at Perth Children's Hospital face challenges that require more courage, resilience and determination than most of us will ever need to find.

While we're preparing to tackle steep mountain trails, challenging conditions and the effects of altitude, these incredible kids and their families are facing mountains of their own.

And that's what makes every single step worthwhile.

Together with our fellow trekkers, we're working towards an ambitious $100,000 fundraising goal, supporting the incredible work of the Perth Children's Hospital Foundation.

The funds raised will help support vital equipment, medical research and initiatives that improve care and outcomes for sick children and their families.

We know the trek won't be easy. There will be aching legs, freezing mornings, long days and moments when we'll wonder what on earth we signed up for!

But when things get tough, we'll remind ourselves why we're doing it.

Because every child deserves the chance to grow, play, laugh, dream and experience a brighter future.

And if a few weeks of discomfort can help make even a small difference to a child's life, then every blister, every hill and every breathless step will be worth it.
